In recent years, Chenzhou City has vigorously promoted the green transformation of the city's mines, strengthened the protection and management of the geological environment of mines, carried out various special renovations, and successfully selected into the national green mining development demonstration area.

The city has incorporated the ecological restoration of mines into the overall planning and layout of the city, combined with the treatment of heavy metal pollution in the Xiangjiang River Basin, and "three years of urban and rural greening", and vigorously implemented the "green restoration of mines" and ecological treatment projects to to significantly improve the mining environment of the city; has strengthened the management of open-pit mines, standardized the order of open-pit mine development, strengthened the management of bidding, auction and listing of mining rights, and established 8 green mine pilot units.

According to the idea of "gathering superior resources to superior enterprises and strategic industries to strategic capital", Chenzhou has made great efforts to introduce strategic investors to participate in the management of mineral resources development and utilization, and to build "the capital of non ferrous metals in China", "world-class fluorination site", "the largest microcrystalline graphite production base and industrial cluster in China"; formulated the "five in one" industrial chain strategy of mineral resources exploitation, beneficiation, smelting, deep processing and commerce, and implemented the "five one project" of advanced mineral resources deep processing.
